As a way to say thanks to everyone who supported our series this season, we are hosting a season finale/players appreciation event. We will be giving each player THREE player's pack discs.
Where: Morton's Northwood Park
When: Saturday, October 27th
Format: Best Shot Triples
Rounds: 2 rounds of 20 holes
Divisions: Advanced, Intermediate, Recreation
Entry Fee: $30 per player (includes free cupcakes!!)
Tees: Advanced and Intermediate will play two rounds from the Longs, and Recreation will play two rounds from the shorts
All divisions will be paid in Ledgestone Bucks. This will be the last event to use Ledgestone bucks. Most of the entry fee will go towards the cost of the discs, but we will put a few dollars towards trophies and the rest will go towards the payout.
The player's pack discs aren't 100% finalized, but its looking like the following: ABC Disc, Innova Blizzard Disc, and then a choice of a Vibram disc or a Nuke (we have some Cryztal, Fly Nukes, Glo Nukes, Z Nukes). We will finalize the discs early in October but every player will get 3 discs!!!!
We will have a nice raffle as well and everyone who shows up gets one free ticket! More tickets can be bought at the regular ticket prices. We will have a big basket in the raffle, amongst other items. We will have the typical ace, ctp, and 50/50 prizes and will also have a long drive contest on 18.
We will be playing a 20 hole design. The changes will be as follows:
-We will be playing hole 6's tee to 7's basket
-The other three temporary holes will implement island green rules. This simply means that the only part of the hole that is in bounds will be inside the painted circle around the basket
-The first temp hole will be after hole 3 and will be a short hole to the practice basket, with only the green being in bounds (approximately 15 feet in diameter for the in bounds portion)
-The second temp hole will tee off back in the woods by hole 1 and will be about 175 feet with a basket just past the pavilion (once again, island OB will be in effect and only the green will be in bounds, with a larger green compared to the prior hole)
-The last temp hole will be the old hole 16 (short anhyzer hole, which will also feature the island OB rules....albeit with a larger green/in bounds area than the prior two holes)
All of the island green holes will have a drop zone. One mulligan per player will also be able to be bought for $2.
Pre-registration will be up soon but you can also pay us by check for your team or individual (make it out to Nate Heinold, 1142 Peoria Street, Washington, IL 61571) or you can pay myself or Johnnie at any of the upcoming tournaments: Soy City Challenge at Decatur 9/29, Capital City Challenge in Springfield on 10/6, and BN Open in Bloomington on 10/7.
This will be a nice, fun event with lots of free plastic. Come on out!
