Format: The two person teams will play in a scramble format (sometimes called “best disc”).  Each player (teammate) will throw a drive. The teammates will pick the best shot and then each teammate will throw from that spot, etc., until the hole is completed.  All players will play the 18-hole course starting at 10:00 A.M.  At registration, each team will declare its playing level (recreational, intermediate, advanced) and will receive corresponding teepad assignments.  During the  lunch break, firstround scores will be reviewed and posted. The afternoon round pairings will be announced and assigned teepads. The top place finishers in each division will get trophies and/or golf discs.  

The Course: Effingham Disc Golf Course is a scenic course, winding through rolling hills and around sizable trees. The first nine holes were installed in 2002 and the second nine holes were installed in 2003.  The first tournament was held in 2003.

Directions: From I-57/70, take the Effingham-Sigel Exit (Rt.45 — Exit 162).  Go south (toward Effingham) 2 miles to a left at 3rd stoplight (Temple). Go 0.5 mile to the park on your right.  Go past the tennis courts and baseball field and turn right (into the park). Drive to the end of the road - to the course on your left.  (617 East Temple Street – Start at the pavilion behind the baseball diamond).
